Today the 4/5/6 science class took part in an experiment to simulate craters being formed on the moon. We layered a tray with a layer of flour, a second layer of sprinkles and a third layer of cocoa. The kids then dropped rocks of various sizes from various heights to simulate the crater being formed. They were able to see the rays being formed coming out from the crater. They also threw rocks from an angle and noticed the difference in the crater shapes.
